EGA Federal Policy Briefing

Bring your plans to the 2025 EGA Federal Policy Briefing!

In the face of shifting legislative and federal cycles, we face critical questions about the future—How do we align our efforts to protect sacred lands, ecosystems, and relational infrastructure that nurtures stewardship and belonging next year and in the next generation? 2025 will be a year for collective action and for durable gains. We will get what we organize, mobilize for and collaborate on and lose where we act alone. Now is the time to align across philanthropic focuses and with environmental leaders wherever they are.

EGA’s 2025 Federal Policy Briefing is the premier opportunity for our membership to collectively chart a path forward for the sustained support of democracy. The Briefing creates space for meaningful, peer and partner solutions, sector- wide dialogue, and strategy to inform our responses and collective impact response. Together, we’ll survey our capacity for action through the lenses of water, food systems, transportation, and energy as tests of our commitment to climate for a just economy, and in balance with the social and technological challenges ahead.

The Federal Policy Briefing will examine the strengths and limits of federal policy, and explore how state and local governments are practiced at allocating resources to fill gaps. The program will offer discussions, strategic sessions, and real-time briefings. The speakers will offer hard-won analysis of the intersection between policy and practices of displacement, agricultural scarcity and regeneration and tensions over water access, license and use.  The sessions will amplify opportunities for durable equity and renewed advocacy in response to the climate crisis.

You are invited to the 2025 Federal Policy Briefing to assess resilient systems for our future.
