President's Cancer Panel Report 2008-2009

The President's Cancer Panel devoted its 2008-2009 activities to examining the impact of environmental factors on cancer risk. This report presents the Panel's recommendations to mitigate or eliminate these risks.

This report accessibly explains what is known about environmental links to cancer and finds that "the true burden of environmentally-induced cancershas been grossly underestimated."  It provides a rationale and call to action for a national policy agenda on environmental contaminants and protection of human health.
