Building a Broad and Inclusive Movement to Protect people from the Chemicals that Cause Cancer:  How linking strategies across silos and sectors is the secret sauce for building a successful movement

The Cancer-Free Economy Network has been working for several years to amplify the efforts of advocates and researchers working on issues as diverse as public health, fossil-fuel reduction, and socio-economic justice.  This work has given rise to an exciting portfolio of complementary strategies and collective learnings aimed at making systemic change. In the process, leaders in the Network have learned what works and doesn’t work in fortifying a movement for deep social change.

Learn about this national-level collaboration, its projects, and its approach—as well as the lessons it has for all efforts to build and advance movements.  At a time when the interests of climate change, smart growth, toxics, fracking, and other funders are converging to stop a massive new corporate investment in petrochemical production, the lessons learned by the Cancer-Free Economy Network could not be more relevant.
