NRDC and RWJF Present - Getting the Lead Out: Partnerships with Communities to Protect Tap Water

A conversation hosted by NRDC, Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF), Heart of the City Neighborhoods (HOCN), and Black Autonomy Network Community Organization (BANCO) to discuss our experiences and work to get lead out of drinking water. Radhika Fox, former EPA Assistant Administrator for Water, will welcome attendees with introductory remarks and provide background about the effort to get the lead out of the nation’s drinking water. In addition, RWJF’s Pamela Russo will join NRDC’s Erik Olson and Angela Guyadeen to provide additional context about actions that need to be taken in the coming years to ensure lead service line replacement is done equitably and efficiently. Stephanie Simeon from HOCN in Buffalo, NY, and Rev. Edward Pinkney from BANCO in Benton Harbor, MI, will discuss their experiences and share their perspectives about lead service line replacement in their respective communities.
