Malavika Sahai (she/her) is the Strategic Partnerships Coordinator at the Climate and Clean Energy Equity Fund, where she coordinates The Equity Fund's philanthropic organizing. Malavika joins The Equity Fund with over five years of experience at the Environmental Grantmakers Association (EGA). Most recently, Malavika served as EGA’s Director for Justice and Equity. In this role, she directed the planning and implementation of equitable initiatives to advance racial equity in environmental philanthropy. Malavika brings her skills in program planning and development to foster a new philanthropic culture grounded in shared power, reciprocal respect, and mutual accountability. She is an experienced facilitator, elevating and encouraging courageous discourse that advances a bold vision for philanthropy, guided by the experience of BIPOC and frontline communities. Malavika has a Master's of Natural Resources and the Environment at the University of Michigan, with concentrations in Environmental Policy and Planning and Environmental Justice. She was born and raised in Virginia, and currently lives and works in West Harlem, in New York City.
