HIP & NAP Joint Annual Conference: Transforming Philanthropy Together

For the first time, Hispanics in Philanthropy (HIP) and Native Americans in Philanthropy (NAP) are uniting for a groundbreaking joint conference. This historic collaboration will amplify the voices of Latine and Indigenous communities and cultivate pathways toward collective liberation.

During what we foresee to be a challenging year in which our communities will have to protect ourselves against extremist policies, this space of healing, connecting, and strategizing is especially important.

Through plenarias, panels, and charlas, we will engage in meaningful conversations about and for Indigenous and Latine communities across the Americas and the Caribbean. Our programming uplifts the most pressing priorities and highlights innovative solutions emerging from our communities.

We are excited to host this gathering in Albuquerque, New Mexico—ancestral lands of the Pueblo, Navajo, and Apache peoples; and home to Hispanic communities whose presence spans centuries. Today, Native American citizens make up 12.4% of New Mexico’s population (compared to 1.7% nationally), while Hispanic residents comprise approximately 50% (versus 16% nationally).
