HEFN's Past Petro Funder Group, formerly known as its Fracking Working Group, is for funders supporting the environmental health of communities in moving beyond the fossil fuel and petrochemical economy.
The group's mission is to provide an informational forum for funders and promote collaboration across diverse areas of work including impacts throughout the oil and gas economy, oil and gas infrastructure, petrochemicals and plastics, and the promotion of just transitions to healthier alternatives.
While expanding its focus and programming, the group will maintain its commitment to information-sharing and collaboration around shale oil and gas impacts. The group will build and deepen relationships among funders working in these spaces, bring more funders and resources into this work, and provide opportunities for peer exchange and collaboration.
Participation in the group and on the listserv is open to all HEFN members and to other interested funders (upon HEFN approval). HEFN will occasionally restrict participation in some calls and programs to HEFN members only.
