Foundation Strategies:

Sustain our Future Foundation employs a multifaceted grantmaking strategy across its four program areas to advance environmental justice and sustainability. Through the Sustainable Justice Training Institute, the Foundation aims to substantiate environmental justice analysis within the sustainability sectors while increasing representation of underrepresented groups. A signature initiative, the Sustainable Justice HBCU Fellowship, provides Historically Black College and University students with professional experiences, leadership development coaching, and connections with industry experts to encourage their entry into sustainability careers. The Regenerative Economy Program focuses on resourcing, developing, and implementing sustainability initiatives aligned with principles of local community ownership, equitable partnership, human dignity, and reparative justice. This program includes our Reparative Land Collective which prioritizes frontline communities in carbon markets.
